Coming days may witness biotechnology becoming one of the most influential science and technology industries in the relationship with agricultural development. In Vietnam, The Government has approved a “ key program on biotechnological  development and application in the domain of agriculture and rural development upto 2020”  and considerred it as a key national program, which will be hosted to carry out by Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to best serve the requirement of economic restructure, hence resulting in the improvement of quality and competitiveness of farm products, and meet the demand of domestic and export markets.

For the purpose of promoting the biotech R&D and its applications in agriculture, one of important tasks is to promote the work of communication, propaganda and education of biotechnology information in order to raise the awareness of all levels, sectors and public in general of the importance role of biotechnology as well as the work of disseminating biotech information & knowledge, new achievements and outstanding biotech applications in production and life.
